Cycling tours in France : discover the Brittany or Normandy during a bike vacation

Brittany or Breizh, surrounded by the Channel and the Atlantic Ocean, counts more than 1.700 km of wonderful cycle routes. This enchanted land of the Bretons is crisscrossed by eight major 'vélo-routes' and greenways, taking you through unspoiled nature and along characteristic towns and villages. You mainly follow rivers and canal towpaths, former railway tracks (so-called 'voies verte') and quiet backroads. Choose one of our green, active cycling holidays  listed below as a family, a couple or with a bunch of friends.

Cycling is a great way to see Normandy, with more than 500 km of cycle paths.  It's a great way of soaking up the local atmosphere and traditions.
There are plenty of cycle routes on offer which suit all levels of ability and experience: an ideal way to combine the great outdoors and have fun with friends and family. How about cycling (a part of) the vélo Francette?  La Vélo Francette is a cycle route covering over 600 km, taking you from Normandy to the Atlantic. It generally follows the course of river valleys, introducing you to beautiful towns and villages along the way, as well as to the gentle French countryside all around.
Or how about a more historic tour: cycle along the D-day beaches to Mont Saint-Michel, a must-see in Normandy.
