Setting out on a self-guided cycling or walking holiday is both exciting and rewarding! It’s about freedom, discovery, and the joy of finding your own way. With the GUIBO App, everything you need for a smooth ride is right at your fingertips — your itinerary, accommodation details, emergency contacts, route maps, and weather updates all in one place.
The Route Maps feature is especially helpful for navigation when signposts are unclear or trails aren’t perfectly marked. You can also use it to locate your next accommodation or find key points of interest along your route.
Even with the app, self-guided travel requires self-reliance — the best experience comes from using a mix of local signage, a paper map, and GUIBO together. The app helps confirm your position and direction, but it’s not meant to be used continuously while riding — take time to enjoy the scenery and the adventure!
Don’t wait until you’re abroad — this ensures everything works smoothly on your device.

Before starting your trip, please re-download your guidebook to ensure it includes the latest updates for your route.
To do this:
Open the app
Tap the three dots on the home screen
Select Reload Guidebook
This ensures your guide contains the most up-to-date route details.

App crashes are more common on Android devices. They are usually caused by temporary app glitches, corrupted cache data, or an outdated Android operating system. Work through the steps below in order—this resolves most issues.
1. Clear the app cache
Android apps store cache data to improve performance. If this data becomes outdated or corrupted, the app may crash or fail to open.
Long-press the app icon and tap the info icon
Go to Storage & cache
Tap Clear cache
2. Update all apps
Outdated apps can cause compatibility problems and unexpected crashes. Open the Play Store and make sure all apps are fully up to date.
3. Update your phone’s software
System updates fix bugs and improve stability.
Open Settings
Go to System
Tap Software update and install any available updates
If the app still crashes after completing these steps, your device may not meet the minimum system requirements.
